  • How long does it take to set up a dome?
    The standard dome take one person about 30 minutes to set up. The ringed domes and zodiac domes take 30-45 minutes.
  • How many students fit in each dome?
    The number of individuals that fit in a dome varies according to the viewers age and the dome size. The standard 6 meter dome has a capacity of approximately 45 second grade students. The Zodiac Dome, the largest planetarium, has a capacity of roughly 175-200 viewers.
  • Where can the dome be set up?
    The dome need to be set up in a large multipurpose room. (Gymnasium, cafeteria, or other large area). The dome needs a minimum of clearance 1ft at the top and 10ft of clearance on all sides.
  • Can the dome be set up outdoors?
    In some cases domes can be set up outdoors however they are sensetive to UV light and weather conditions. Any dameage incurred as a result of setting up outdoors is not covered under warranty.
  • How do I store the dome?
    Domes can easily be stored in a climate controlled environment of your choosing. We provide all the materials needed for easy and orginazed dome packing and storage which is easly transported with our provided storage cart.
  • Is it easy to transport the dome?
    It is very easy to transport a dome. We provide a customized wheeled cart system for storage and transport that allows you to easily move the system from one location to another. Two people should assist in loading the system in and out of a vehicle.
  • Do the lessons align with science standards?
    Yes! Education in the domes allows educators to tailor their educational experience to meet both NextGen and TEKS standards. (Insert External Links to Both) NextGen Science Standards TEKS ScienceStandards
